Websites & Internet

I AM A MARGINAL home PC owner and user who, four or five years ago, abandoned the idea of buying or owning another desktop dictated by the high cost of procuring and installing a licensed proprietary operating system, without which my desktop would just be considered a piece of junk. Even if I could afford, at a lower cost, for this software to be installed in my PC from third party sources, I don't see any reason to maintain the high cost of re-installing over and over again this operating system as it is susceptible to system crashes and quite vulnerable to viruses, internet worms and malicious software. Although there are plenty of pirated copies of this software sold in the sidewalks I was never tempted to buy one.
Im from the Philippines,obviously...im writing for the pinoy writers...and i love it here.Im living in a third world country. My age is 40 plus 1.
I will give rough information about myself so that you will understand this thing that i will be sharing with you.
In my elementary days i have no idea about the computers and the internet...i know the spelling but understanding about it...nothing.Books?I could hardly read books...i lived in a remote area in Mindanao, and our money is for foods not for books.
During my high school days...i studied in a Catholic school, run by priests and nuns...it has a big library. At this point in time i can enjoy scanning pages of books but i do not have the eagerness to read...i only read novels at first ,then i learn to love history books and encyclopedias.Until such time that i develop the passion of reading...i started to collect books not by buying but by scavenging the discarded books from the library.Though i read a lot but i still do not have much idea about the computer, especially the internet.Even in college...still not much.
I got married,have children.
Then its time for my eldest daughter to go to college. She took Information Technology...we have no much idea what it is all about, its just that we like how it sounds and the school is just 30 minutes ride from our house, and the pressure that she should take a course...thats it.
Anyone heard of oDesk.com? Now here's a funny story, I tried signing up a few months ago and currently decided to try and apply to one of the jobs posted there. I thought it was all about data entry however turned out it asked you sign up to a "money making" website. I thought, well, why not? so I signed up, kinda interesting. I tried to fill out the surveys as required and did a "scan" on the terms and conditions (I'm not that fond of reading the fine print... teehee). And my job is done, I was told to check out my paypal next week, if they are able to validate my account, they'll send me $0.50 hehe; not that big but heck its money hehe
So, to sum all of this, I'm asking any of you who is interested to try this site out... So far, I don't get any viruses or stuff but hey please let me know if you think this is something that I should not be wasting my time on. I would certainly appreciate it.

After almost a month of waiting for an invitation from Google, I’ve finally been invited to have a preview of one of the twitter world’s most trending topic – Being a TT for how many weeks http://files.adbrite.com/mb/images/green-double-underline-006600.gif) repeat-x scroll center bottom; cursor: pointer; color: rgb(0, 102, 0); text-decoration: none; -moz-background-clip: border; -moz-background-origin: padding; -moz-background-inline-policy: continuous; margin-bottom: -2px; padding-bottom: 2px;">makes it very significant, in fact, very popular.
For me,these networking sites greatly affects other informative sites(search engine, news, forum, technology, humanities) like our local sites here and there,..and i'm one of the victim of these networking sites,..hehehe,...as we can see these networking sites are said to be the top rank traffic sites of about thousands of site on the net,.yah,it' really amazing that these networking sites give significance in terms of communication environment to all of our network friends out there that we are thinking that these networking sites are just a full package to other sites, which mean can standalone without them(but probably not). I fairly believe that it's very addictive, not only for teenage but all of the ages whom can directly access to computer-net industrialization era,..Even me, before and after work, facebook online is almost present on my workfield (please don't tell this to my boss, but i dont think even my boss do the same pattern,.),.so many applications, so many features of this site like games and other attractive sites,.

Blogging has been a big part of many lives now. Specially in this virtual world where people from all parts of the world are getting involved day by day. A blogging can be categorized as a hobby, but for most, could be a business. But whatever the reason behind, it's always fun to have a blogsite. Where you can talk about anything under the sun. Could it be your dog or Manny Pacquiao's latest win. While there are a few disadvantages in blogging, advantages are overflowing. All you need is your time and your internet and you're good to go. You can have your own blogsite.
Having your own blogsite on the internet is like buying a house at a subdivision or an executive home in the middle of the city. It gives you 1.) space on the internet where you can blog about anything 2.) voice to speak out for who you are and what you believe in 3.) the chance to meet people with minds like you. A lot of people have already found friendship on the internet, some even found love interests and built families. Anyways, this article is about how to have your own blogsite on the internet. These are just tips and tricks on making your own.
Blogging, for some is just one way of exhausting themselves or expressing their deepest emotions. That's a way no one can criticize them, since like speech, everyone has freedom to write. As long as it doesn't give false impressions. There are a lot of popular blogs that only write about daily activities. Others write about what their interests are, like celebrities.
Now these are some example of successful blogs I've encountered.
