There were a loving couple and the boy was the apple of their eyes. When the boy was around two years old, one morning the husband saw a medicine bottle open. He was late for work so he asked the wife to cap the bottle and keep it in the cupboard. The mother, preoccupied in the kitchen, totally...

Movies and Videos

Latest movies, movie reviews -

So I was just reading latest entertainment news from DIGG and here's what I found. Guess what? A 3-D Titanic?! A shocker, but who knows what happens next. There's a big plan of re-releasing movies and turning them into 3D movies. And the leader? James Cameron. According to reports he will re-edit Avatar and re release the movie this fall and Titanic then will follow. They're targeting spring of 2012 for the release of Titanic 3-D. That's also the 100th year anniversary of the ship.

This is a big project, if this goes out right - we'll just have to get prepared for other movies like Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Clash of the Titans to turn out and become 3D versions as well. Below is the report from thestar.com

By the time "The Hurt Locker" won best picture Sunday night, it seemed almost a foregone conclusion since it previously earned honors from the Producer's Guild, BAFTA, Broadcast Critics, the National Society and critics groups in New York, L.A. and elsewhere. But "Hurt Locker" was anything but a sure thing. In a historical context, its win is surprising.

Wow. Chris Weitz played it by the book.

That's my over-all assessment after watching this most publicized movie of the year from the Twilight Saga: New Moon.

So that would actually make you think that the movie was good then. Well, the movie has it's own good and bad points. blah blah blah. Same old story.

But to cut the long story short then and for sure every critic out there would all agree, after watching this movie hardcore fans will be satisfied but outsiders are likely to be turned off by its slow pace, relentlessly downcast tone, and excessive length. That's actually the consensus from rotten-tomatoes.

Well, where to start...

First thing, I love the Twilight Saga. At least for the book version. And I think that will remain as it is if I am to base it on the first two movie adaptation of this book series.

The thing that's pulling down the movie adaptations of this saga: Bad Acting by the lead cast itself: Rob and Kirsten. Up until now, I am still not satisfied with Rob portraying Edward Mason Cullen. I mean, if you had read the book you'd definitely say that Pattinson is not the Edward you'd imagine to be. I just don't get it why a lot of girls goes gaga over him these days. Yah, maybe they are more in love with the character and since he is the one playing it, he gets to get the limelight. I am in love with the character but definitely not with Rob. And Kristen, she's only good with the moping-kind-of-acting which lucky her it's pretty much needed in this film. But jeeeezzzzz....I just, I don't know, I don't seem to see the intensity or the chemistry that Bella and Edward is suppose to have.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian is a magical movie for kids. I've watched this together with my family and we all liked it. This movie is good for children and for the whole family. I saw the first movie of The Chronicles of Narnia, but I think the second is better. But if you won't watch the first movie then you would be very curious about this second movie.

One year had passed since the four children namely, Peter, Edmund, Susan and Lucy ruled narnia and had a great adventure there. They were called by the magical horn of Susan again and needed to go back to their kingdom of narnia, when they found out that a bad king named Miraz taken the throne of Prince Caspian and ruled the whole land. Prince Caspian was then exiled from the land and came to the forest and also discovered that narnians were real and together with the Kings and Queens of Narnia, the narnians, and even Aslan, they must defeat the King Miraz and have peace for the whole land. Aslan had given greater help for defeating the King, by his power to control the nature!.

There is a little bit of a love story here for Prince Caspian and Queen Susan, but they can't be together since Queen Susan is hundred years older than the Prince.

This movie makes my whole family really happy! This is the colorful image of Jane Austin's Pride and Prejudice. The movie shows how happy the family of both the guy and the girl when they get married. It shows that getting married doesn't mean you are exiled from your home or from the security and love of your family, instead getting married is a wonderful thing and everyone should be glad if they get married, and all the families and friends too should also be glad.

The movie didn't start there, it all began in the Indian family of Bakshi. Mrs. Bakshi really wants her four daughters to have suitable husbands, or shall I say rich husbands. Her four daughters are Jaya the eldest, Lalita, Lakhi and the youngest Maya. Lalita here is the beautiful Aishwarya Rai, she is the Miss World of 1994 on the same year as the Miss Universe.

August Rush is a film that has a really great story. I thought the title was about the month of august and there is something great that will happened to the little boy, well I was really wrong. It was about the courage of a little boy to find his parents through the music that he hears. He is a musical genius who doesn't know his real parents. It was so dramatic, it feels like it squeezes my heart while watching the entire movie.

August's parents were both musicians that loved each other so much. They are not married, they only met once. Lyla(the mother) never knew that she has a son for 11 years because of her father's selfishness, even Louis(the father). And they didn't meet for 11 years for they have different lives. Lyla is a cellist and Louis is on a band.

The wonderful thing about this movie is that August has a positive mind to tell himself that if his parents won't look for him, then he will be the one to look for them through his music. I really like the way he loved music, he said it is more than food. Every instrument he holds, he easily learned to play them. He was first discovered by a man who earned money through his skills, then later on he was welcomed on the school of music and had given a chance to have a concert for he is a musical genius.

TEENAGE DIRTBAG intelligently tells the story of a popular high school cheerleader (Noa Hegesh) who is harassed by a delinquent classmate (Scott Michael Foster) until they are both placed in the same creative writing class. Through written words, they develop a strong bond of trust, companionship and love; but is it a bond that can withstand her elitist social pressures and his brutal home life?

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/f/fa/Frog_official_poster_500.jpg/200px-Frog_official_poster_500.jpgOne of the most awaited movies this year, princess and the frog is another ordinary story based on the world famous fairytale, The Frog Prince. Only there's some twist. Instead of the frog turning into a prince, it's the princess who turned into a frog. So, to make it simple, it's a story of two frogs' journey to back to humanity.

So hey! This is a good movie in production, why? Disney never made a 'not good movie'. Almost everyone I know, young and old, are looking forward to it. It's another good movie for children, but I'm sure a lot of people will check it out and I'm one of them.

When I first saw the trailer of the movie, it was kinda funny and really got me hooked right away. It's weird how that small twist in the movie, made it so interesting.

The Princess and The Frog will be out this December 2009. Watch out!
